BIT 19 April 4, 2008
Well here it is...New pictures!
I've been pretty busy working on the website since my last BIT. I hope you
all like the updated photos. I have also gotten the sound clips for
"Happy Fingers" posted!
My concert at, Christ Presbyterian Church
in Lakeland, Florida, was a lot of fun. The pastor is a BIG guitar fan...And
a Taylor owner as well!

On stage at the O.B.Opry. |
I also played at the Orange
Blossom
Opry on two different occasions. I always enjoy playing there when I'm
in Central Florida.
A few weeks ago, dad and I were guests on "The Good Life TV 45" just outside
of Orlando...It was a half hour Interview about the missions outreach in
Central America and I played 3 songs. I also gave my testimony about how God
has given me the gift of playing the guitar.
The people there where so genuinely nice. It was truly refreshing to have
been there! And after the program, our host Mr. Mikesell gifted us each with
a beautiful bracelet depicting the Ten Commandments. They are really great
ice breakers for those who notice them to talk with them about the things of
the Lord. |

Here I am with Buddy & Carol as they present the
"Cowboys for Christ" Belt Buckle to me! |
Last Sunday I played at my friend, Pastor Troy Miller's
church in Wildwood,
Florida. It's probably one of the most "musical" churches I think I've been
to...maybe ever! So, it was a lot of fun to have the opportunity to play a
Concert there again!
Before I finished playing, I played Mustang Roundup. and before I left the
stage a gentleman came up and said that just like cowboys win belt buckles
in the rodeo...He felt that I should have his "Cowboys for Christ" Belt
Buckle! What an honor.
Then afterwards we headed back to Ocoee, Florida. Where I played again at a
Spanish church that I had played at a number of times when we first started
this tour in 2007.

There was another blessing that happened
as a result of the TV interview. A couple who saw me playing on TV ended
up calling the TV station, and when I called them back they told me that when
they were watching the program they felt led to give me one of their guitars from
their collection.
What a humbling experience! We ended up meeting at Pastor Miller's
church before the service. |

Here I am with: Tom, Chris & Adina the day Chris & Adina
gave me their guitar. Thank you guys! |

Here's a nice picture of my parents and I
taken
after the program with our hosts:
Ken Mikesell, & Barbara Beck. |
The people at the TV station have invited us back again to tape another
program on the 9th of this month...just before we fly out to Frankfurt,
Germany!!! Their website is: www.tv45.org
We fly out on the 11th in the evening and arrive on the 12th in the
morning...maybe the overnight flight will help us out with the jetlag!
J
Dad will be preaching and I will be playing Concerts all over Europe! But I'll
start off by playing at a Church of the Nazarene in Frankfurt the very next
day (Sunday).
I'm so excited about this trip to Europe. It's a dream come true! God
has been so good to me. I hope I don't ever take anything for granted
(though I often do). The reality is that we don't know what tomorrow will
bring. So, we should be grateful for what we have (especially our family)!
Anyways, I'll keep you posted as I'm able to.
Take care,
Buddy |
